About Jeremy Lin


Jeremy Shu­How Lin is a professional basketball player and currently playing for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. He was born in L.A and his parents are both dual nationals Taiwan and United States. During his high school years at Palo Alto in 2005­2006 he is the captain of the basketball team and was named first team All­ State and Northern California Division II Player of the Year. He is averaging 15.1 points, 7.1 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 5.0 steals. He attended Harvard University in college because of the athletic scholarship offered to him he averaged 12.6 points per game on his second year season. He gained popularity scoring a career high 30 points and 9 rebounds, He graduated from Harvard with a degree in Economics. Jeremy Lin was not drafted by the NBA but he joined the 2010 Ivy Summer league. He joined the mini camp and was offered by Donnie Nelson to play in the league. In five games he was averaging 16.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.1 blocks, Lin's performance on Summer league was noticed by NBA teams and offer him to play in the NBA.. He signed with the Golden State Warriors but received limited playing time because of dominant point guards  like Stephen Curry and Monti Ellis. He was also assigned to NBA D­League and helped Big Horns to a 2­0 records. Lin finished season averaging 2.6 points on 38.9 percent shooting in 29 games. Lin signed with the New York Knicks and considered the  also assigned to the Erie bay Hawks of the D­League. A playing time was given to Lin when most on the point guards are injured and he became a starter against the Utah Jazz were he scored 28 points. He was a main attraction on every game and created a buzz called “Linsanity” He also improved his average but he became a free agent and signed to the Houston Rockets. Lin struggle with the Rockets as his shooting percentage went down to 33.3%.Lin became a second unit primary scorer as Patrick Beverley is the starting point guard for the Rockets. He is effective coming off the bench.
